The RPM card is attractive because it's basically the same as the Digigrid, just in AES50 form, where you plug the stream in from the console, and then directly to a computer, no other conversions or extra hardware needed.

After seeing the announcement for the Rekordbox DJ DVS I realized that there might be a point for me to use DVS at home in certain situations. But here’s the problem: My setup consists of 4x CDJ 1000 mk3 and a DJM 2000 mixer (odd setup, I know, but I like it) but since the DJM 2000 is only 2 in 6 out at best it’s not supported by Rekordbox DJ for DVS. So my current idea is to burn controll CDs and use with Mixxvibes Cross (already own cross dj so would only have to update) but with 4 decks dvs what are my options in terms of soundcards? I know I’ll need 8 in 8 out right? I would be happy if I could keep using my mixer, also if there are any cheap options I would be happy. Help/suggestions needed!
Hate to burst your bubble, but unless I am totally out of touch with things, Mixvibes Cross only supports 2 (two) DVS decks. They can be part of a 4-deck setup, but not 4 DVS decks simultaneously. Not sure about the other brands. I think Traktor does have 4-deck DVS, but not 100% sure, you’d also need to get the rather hefty Audio-10 interface with it. Moneywise you really must want 4-deck DVS to make that work for you. Serato I am not sure.
